Morocco - Casablanca

There is only 1 thing worth seeing there (I’m really sorry but compared with the other things it is true) – the biggest mosque with 200 m high minaret. It’s amazing! And it is definitely worth coming to Casablanca just because of that…

This is the only mosque someone who is not a Muslim can enter – unfortunately only in the morning and I was there in the afternoon, although just the view from outside and a glance through the door made a big impression on me.

It looked so huge, positive and colorful in the time of the sunset that it really filled me with energy and peace.

I was asking myself at that point why people even fight over the religion. They are so similar in the end and the similarity is seen already from the outside. Morocco is actually not much different than any catholic country, only that instead of the church towers you can see the minarets, instead of hearing the sound of the church bell you are hearing the call for the prayer. In both cases it gives people a shelter and should give them the peace. It is time that cross and crescent moon live together hand in hand.
